Naked burglar in Seattle asks to crash on victim's couch, report says

CBS/AP

(CBS) SEATTLE - Police in Seattle arrested a man early Tuesday morning after he allegedly crawled into a home naked and asked if he could crash on the couch, CBS Seattle reports.

Officers responded to the home just after 1 a.m. The residents of the home reportedly told police that a naked man they did not know crawled through a window on the first floor and then asked for a woman who didn't live there.

The naked man then reportedly asked if he could crash at the house and when the residents told him no, he crawled back out the window.

Police later spotted the suspect riding a bike with jeans and no shirt on. When the man spotted the patrol car, he reportedly ditched the bike and ran away on foot. The suspect was later found hiding on the roof of a home.

Fire crews were called to bring the man down from the roof and the original victim ultimately identified the man as the naked suspect.

The suspect, who remains unnamed, was arrested and taken to a hospital for evaluation. Police say drugs may have been involved.
