N.H. man's car stolen...or just buried under snow?

EPPING, N.H. -- Ever had that uneasy feeling when you go to get your car out of the lot and you can't find it -- but you just know you left it there?

According to CBS Boston, it's a feeling Patrick Phillips of Epping, New Hampshire knows all too well. He left his Lincoln Town Car in a parking lot and hit the road for several weeks of work as a trucker.

Then the snow started to fall... and fall... and fall some more. You've seen the pictures from much of New England.

Friends were in charge of checking on Phillips' car while he was away, but at a certain point they couldn't find it.

So they called police to report that the car was stolen.

You know where this is heading.

Epping Police Capt. Jason Newman said the car was eventually found -- underneath three feet of snow that had fallen since Phillips left, and even more that had been dumped on it by plows.

"He hasn't done anything wrong," said Newman. "He's using the parking lot for what it's there for. Unfortunately he just hasn't been able to have (the car) moved or move it since he's working. And while he's been working is when we've been getting slammed with these storms. Unfortunately, that's what happened to him."

Southern New Hampshire got blasted by another heavy snowfall over the weekend.
