Musicians chosen for royal wedding service

(CBS) Two choirs, one orchestra and two fanfare teams will perform the music at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding service next month.

Those performers will be: The Choir of Westminster Abbey, The Chapel Royal Choir, The London Chamber Orchestra, The Fanfare Team from the Central Band of the Royal Air Force and The State Trumpeters of The Household Cavalry.

Both William and Middleton have :taken a great deal of interest and care in choosing the music for their service, which will include a number of well-known hymns and choral works as well as some specially-commissioned pieces," according to a statement from Clarence House.

Following the service at Westminster Abbey, Claire Jones, the Official Harpist to the Prince of Wales, will perform at the reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.

According to reports, the Band of the Welsh Guards has also been chosen by the royal couple to perform on their big day. Soldiers from the regiment, which carried Princess Diana's coffin at her funeral in 1997, will play at Westminster Abbey, the reception at Buckingham Palace and when the couple greets the crowds from the balcony, according to The Sun.

BBC reports that the band has signed a record contract to release the songs it will perform at the wedding. The album, "A Royal Tribute," will be released on April 4, a few weeks before the big event on April 29.
