(CBS News) The 2012 MTV Video Music Award nominations have been announced, and there's stiff competition in this year's video of the year category.

Katy Perry, last year's video of the year winner, is up for the award again. This time, the pop star will be competing against Goyte, M.I.A., Rihanna and Drake.
