(CBS/KCBS/AP) LOS ANGELES - Three people have pleaded not guilty in connection with a string of 10 armed robberies and two killings, including the shooting death of MTV music coordinator Gabriel Aron Ben-Meir in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles County district attorney's spokeswoman Jane Robison says that 29-year-old Destiny Young entered her not guilty plea Thursday to two counts of murder and six counts of robbery with two special circumstances that could make her eligible for the death penalty.

Twenty-six-year-old Jabaar Thomas pleaded not guilty to three counts of robbery and one count of a felon being in possession of a handgun, while 33-year-old Richard Anderson pleaded not guilty to six robbery counts.

According to CBS affiliate KCBS, the three were arrested on May 11, three days after Ben-Meir's body was found near his apartment on a Wilshire-area sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

MTV issued a statement expressing shock and sadness at his death calling him "a valued member of the MTV family and a beloved and dedicated colleague and friend."
