Money doesn't grow on trees...but how 'bout on a road in Ohio?

(CBS/AP) DELAWARE, Ohio - Police north of Columbus, Ohio, are trying to figure out how thousands of dollars in cash ended up along a highway. But whatever you do, police say DON'T drive out to U.S. Route 23 - they promise they've already collected bills in the median of the road totaling in the "five figures."

Police Chief Russ Martin in the city of Delaware says there were so many bills in the median of U.S. Route 23 on Monday that an officer said it looked as though the field was growing money.

Authorities had been alerted by a motorist, and officers spent hours collecting the cash.

Chief Martin tells WBNS-TV that police checked with the FBI, an armored car company and bank couriers. None of them reported missing any money.

The chief is confident officers rounded up all the bills, so again - whatever you do - DON'T go to U.S. Route 23 in Delaware, Ohio.
