Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton tie the knot

(CBS) Country music couple Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are now officially husband and wife.

The couple tied the knot Saturday night in front of 550 family members and friends at the Don Strange Ranch in Boerne, Texas, north of San Antonio, Us magazine reports.

"I'm married to my best friend!" the bride, who wore her mother's wedding gown down the aisle, told Us after the ceremony. "Looking forward to a lifetime of laughter."

Shelton added: "I wanted to be married to Miranda the day I proposed. Finally, it's official!"

Celebrity guests in attendance reportedly included Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, Martina McBride, Dierks Bentle, Charles Kelly and the Bellamy Brothers.

The couple, engaged since last May, have been together for six years.

This is the first marriage for Lambert, 27, and the second for Shelton, 34, who was previously married to Kaynette Williams.
