Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are Engaged
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, two of country music's hottest singers, are off the market.
People magazine reported that Shelton asked Lambert to marry him on Sunday. Kathy Best, Lambert's publicist, confirmed the news Tuesday.
"He called my dad and got his blessing first," Lambert told the magazine of Shelton's proposal. "That was so Southern and old-school and perfect."

The award-winning country singer added that her fiance picked out the diamond and platinum ring he gave her all on his own.
"I was so proud of him," she said. "We've been together five years, so he knew exactly what I wanted but it's so much more perfect than I could have picked out myself."
According to the report, Shelton proposed in the woods near Lambert's home in Tishomingo, Okla. Lambert said the two then celebrated with "a couple of Bacardi and Diet Sprites - in a Solo cup!"
There's no word on when the wedding will be.
It's been quite the year for Lambert. She scored her first No. 1 with "White Liar," won three Academy of Country Music Awards, including album of the year.
Lambert told the magazine that she's looking forward to being married.
"Weddings are great and engagements are great and diamonds are especially great," she said. "But I'm just excited to be married because I want to tell Blake I really can love him the rest of my life and be happy and make him happy."
