MILF Sale
There's a MILF sale at Spirit Airlines.
That acronym, in a "safe for work" translation, means "Mom I'd Like to Get to Know Intimately." An attractive, older women.
It would seem that the marketing department at Spirit is either unaware of its pop culture meaning, or intentionally caused quite a stir by posting a "Many Islands Low Fares", or "MILF" sale, on the airline's homepage.
An airline spokesperson has told reporters that the creator of the slogan had no idea there was a double meaning, although the island shaped like a reclining nude woman would suggest otherwise!
Either way, what a publicity coo for Spirit. As my colleague Tricia just said, "Wait, the airfare is $9?"
Maybe that's the real shocker.
