Watch: Miley Cyrus chokes up, dedicates song to Floyd

Miley Cyrus had a hard time keeping it together Wednesday night while performing in Boston.

Still mourning the loss of her dog Floyd, the 21-year-old singer tearfully dedicated Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" to her beloved Alaskan Klee Kai.

"It's gonna be hard for me on this next song. I'm not sounding myself, I don't feel myself. But I just wanna do one song," she said before the performance. "I'm sure you guys already know, but the reason that I'm so upset is my dog, I shouldn't say he was my favorite but he was my favorite, he passed away. I just wanna do a song for him. We used to always listen to Fleetwood Mac together, it's his favorite song...so I wanna do this song for Floyd. This song is 'Landslide.'"

During the dedication, which was caught on video by fans, Cyrus' voice broke up as she fought back tears.

On Tuesday, Cyrus revealed via Twitter that Floyd had died: "I don't wanna say it because I don't want it to be real... But my precious baby Floyd has passed away."

She didn't note the cause of death, but told followers, "I miss him so much."
