Singer Miguel was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Thursday morning, the California Highway Patrol confirms to ET.
The "Adorn" singer was pulled over around 2:15 Thursday morning due to speed and tinted windows, at which point he was given a field sobriety test, which police allege he failed.
The 27-year-old star, whose full name is Miguel Pimentel, was booked at the LAPD 77th street station and released on $5,000 bail later Thursday morning. He is due to appear in court in downtown Los Angeles on September 9.
Miguel found himself at the center of controversy earlier this year when he accidentally jumped on two fans during a Billboard Music Awards performance in May.
