Microsoft Word Tip: Clear Hyperlinks From Pasted Text

word-logo.jpgWhen you copy text from an e-mail, Web page, or another source into a Word document, any URLs or e-mail addresses contained within that text usually wind up hyperlinked. Word offers no clear-cut method of removing those links. You can right-click one and choose Remove Hyperlink, but that's a pretty slow method if you have multiple links you want to, well, unlink.

Solution: Select the entire block of text, then press Ctrl-Shift-F9. Presto: No more hyperlinks. In their place, plain text.
