Michael Imperioli joins cast of "Californication"
Michael Imperioli has signed on for a guest-star spot on "Californication."
The Emmy-winning star of "The Sopranos" will appear in a multi-episode arc during the show's seventh season, Showtime announced Tuesday.
He'll play Rick Rath, "a successful old-school television producer who will play a key role" in Hank's (David Duchovny) latest venture.
Imperioli, 47, has recently made guest appearances on HBO's "Girls" and USA's "Necessary Roughness."
Production on the new 12-episode season of "Californication" is set to begin later this month and will air on Showtime in 2014.
