Melissa George expecting baby No. 2, her NBC show postponed

Actress Melissa George announced Friday that she is expecting her second child with her partner, French entrepreneur Jean-David Blanc.

George, who's had roles on "The Good Wife," "The Slap" and "Grey's Anatomy," was set to star in NBC's new series "Heartbreakers" this September but the baby has changed priorities for the actress as well as the network, which is pushing the premiere date to mid-season. NBC, which confirmed the baby news, will instead air Dick Wolf's new hospital drama "Chicago Med"13.

The Australian-American actress, 38, and Blanc, 47, welcomed their first child, son Raphaël, last year.

"WELCOME TO THE WORLD! OUR BEAUTIFUL SON Raphael Blanc just born at the American hospital of Paris," George tweeted in February 2014. "THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE THE LOVE."

When she became pregnant with her first child George was overjoyed; it was the moment she had been waiting for her whole life, she told OK! magazine.

"This baby is very wanted and very much what we've been waiting for," she said. "It's no secret that I've always wanted to be a mother, and every time I had a birthday I would just be a little bit sad."

Now she has another reason to rejoice -- and perhaps indulge in Mexican food, her main craving during her first pregnancy.

"For me, it's just amazing how hungry you are. I've been craving Mexican food," she told the magazine.
