Mauresmo Steals Eurotel

Top-seeded Amelie Mauresmo of France defeated Kim Clijsters of Belgium 6-3, 6-3 Sunday to win the Eurotel Slovak Indoor for her first WTA tournament triumph.

Mauresmo was runner-up at the Australian Open in January but has struggled since with injuries. She made short work of Clijsters, winning in less than an hour.

"Clijsters was a little tired

and I did not allow her to play her game,"

Mauresmo said.
