Marcus Hurd, sole survivor of 2010 Boston-area shooting, says he can ID killer, report says

(CBS/AP) BOSTON - Marcus Hurd, the only survivor of a drug-related shooting in Boston, said he can identify the gunmen who shot and killed a 2-year-old boy and three adults, contradicting his earlier testimony at the suspects' trial.

Hurd was paralyzed after he was shot in the back in the Mattapan neighborhood in September 2010. He told a jury in March he couldn't identify the two shooters because they wore masks or tightly pulled hooded shirts.

Edward Washington and Dwayne Moore were charged with the killings. Washington was acquitted, but the jury deadlocked on Moore.

The Boston Globe reported that according to court documents, Hurd now says he can "recognize the shooter's facial features," more specifically his bone structure.

A judge will weigh on Tuesday whether to allow Hurd's new recollection at Moore's retrial in October.
