Marcia Gay Harden joins "Fifty Shades of Grey" cast

Marcia Gay Harden is the latest star to join the cast of “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

The 54-year-old actress has signed on to play Christian Grey’s adoptive mother, Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jamie Dornan will portray billionaire Christian Grey in the film, which also stars Dakota Johnson, Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford, Rita Ora and Jennifer Ehle. Shooting is under way in Vancouver for the Sam Taylor-Johnson-directed movie.

The big-screen adaptation of  E L James’ bestselling book will hit theaters in February 2015. 

Harden was recently seen on HBO’s “The Newsroom” and ABC’s “Trophy Wife.”
