"Fifty Shades of Grey" release date delayed

Fans of "Fifty Shades of Grey" will have to wait a little longer to see the film adaptation of the bestselling novel.

The movie, which was set to hit theaters in August 2014, has been pushed back until 2015. Universal Pictures announced Wednesday that it will now open on Valentine's Day in 2015.

The news comes after a bit of upheaval in the cast of the movie. "Sons of Anarchy" actor Charlie Hunnam bowed out of the film after being cast to play billionaire Christian Grey. Jamie Dornan has since been tapped to replace him. The change forced producers to push back the production start date.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" also stars Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, and Jennifer Ehle will play her mother, Carla.

Sam Taylor-Johnson will direct the big-screen version of E L James' racy novel.
