Man tells police about stolen iPhone; guess what's stolen next?
CHICAGO - Adam Wisneski thought he was having a bad day when he went to the police station to report his iPhone was stolen. Little did he know, it was about to get worse.
CBS Chicago reports Wisneski, 31, rode his bike to the Shakespeare District police station in Chicago on Friday to tell authorities about the stolen phone. He reportedly didn't have his bike lock with him, so, logically enough, he asked police if he could leave his bike inside the station. They obliged and he proceeded to fill out a police report regarding the phone.
When he turned around, he says, his bike was gone, too.
"At first I thought somebody was playing a joke on me, like one of the officers had walked around the corner, or something, just to be funny," Wisneski told CBS Chicago.
Nope. It was stolen.
"I was just dejected. Like, you've got to be kidding me. And I turned around and I told the officer, 'I would like to file another police report, please,' Wisneski said. "He laughed and said, 'Okay, you don't have to tell me what happened.'"
According to CBS Chicago, Wisneski said police suspect a homeless person who was in the station might have taken the bike.
