Man allegedly makes fake Craigslist posts to intimidate cop

FEASTERVILLE, Pa. -- Police say a man in suburban Philadelphia posted fraudulent ads on Craigslist directing people to a police officer's home, reports CBS Philly.

Officials say John Dangelo targeted the police officer because the officer had written citations against his store, Dangelo's Feasterville Pawn Shop.

The Craiglist ads said free items were available to be picked up any time, day or night, at the officer's home, according to charging documents.

Feasterville police say at least one person came to the officer's home while his wife was home alone with their children.

Another man tried to open a side door of the house. Police say he later told them he was responding to a Craigslist ad seeking companionship.

Investigators say they traced the ads back to Dangelo through phone and email records.

He waived his preliminary hearing and faces several charges including felony counts of criminal trespass and unlawful use of a computer.
