Make Creative Commons Work for You
Want to embed a funny video or a cute picture in a presentation? Want to download a few songs from a band but don't want to pony up the cash to iTunes? Check out Mashable's diverse list of free Creative Commons content so you don't get you or your company in trouble when you use something created by someone else. The scope of the licenses can vary, though, so make sure you read the fine print before you try to make any money directly off of it.
One site not mentioned in Mashable's list is Flickr. Not all of the images are up for grabs, but if you use the advanced search feature, you can filter the content to include only CC images.
(Ironically, if you search for an image of the Creative Commons logo in Wikipedia, the site says that the image is copyrighted. I'm going to go ahead and claim fair use.)
