Problem: You encounter a strange number stored in your phone, and no idea to whom it belongs. Well, if it's a business number, it's stupid simple to find out, without a lot of random Googling. You can simply use Goggle Maps to quickly do a reverse phone number lookup and find out exactly what the number is.
First, just to put you at ease, let me emphasize this only applies to business numbers -- so your personal number remains (somewhat) safe from Internet searches.
But if you are trying to track down the source of a business phone number, just enter the number into Google Maps' search box. You'll get an instant result showing the name of the company and, of course, where it's located. It's a clever feature that greatly simplifies the answer to the age old question, "what is this 800-555-1212 number?"
