Lohan's Dad Reaches Out To Her

Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael, reached out to his daughter in a letter obtained by In Touch magazine. In the hand-written letter, dated Jan. 18, he writes that he's proud of Lindsay, who recently entered rehab, for "taking back control of your life" and said that its time for her "start anew."

Michael, who is reportedly serving time in New York for assault and has been estranged from his daughter for some time, writes that his daughter has a kind loving heart, "which is more valuable than the world has to offer."

He talks about what she will learn, presumably in rehab. "Turning to God is the most important part of turning it all around. Living by the truth, God's principles and people who do the same. Make that searching moral inventory and 'clean house,' " he writes. "Then fill it with love, forgiveness and all that you know is right by God rather than man. People, places and things are huge factors Lindsay, remember that. Believe me, I know!"

In his message he says he's not pointing any fingers, making excuses or exposing anyone, but "you know the truth, I know the truth, God knows the truth, and while that's all that truly matters, living by the truth is the glue that will hold it all together."

He asks his daughter to fill herself with love and good. "My heart is with you sweetheart and so am I. Always was and always will be, to the very end. We are one soul inhabiting two bodies. Two in kind. I feel your love, the pain and your presence as I hope you do mine," he writes.

In his closing, he speaks of undying love for his daughter. "I can't wait for the day to hold you, look in your eyes and reap the joy we sowed with our tears. Until then, know that God is with you, and so am I. — My undying love, Daddy."

Lindsay checked into a rehab facility Jan. 16. Her rep confirmed to The ShowBuzz on Jan. 26 that she was returning to the set of her latest film, "I Know Who Killed Me."
