Monserrate Luna said she unintentionally chomped on a lizard that was in her chicken dinner while watching a movie onboard an American Airlines flight from JFK to San Juan in 2003, according to the New York Post.
The Australian reports Luna filed the lawsuit against American Airlines in January.
A lawyer representing American Airlines claims the meat was chicken skin.
"There may have been some feathers, or what looked like feathers," the airlines' lawyer, Kenneth Gormley, told The Post, "but there was no lizard."
