Lindsey Graham Up With First TV Ad

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is up with his first television ad for his re-election campaign, featuring an endorsement from President Bush, who touts the senator’s conservative leadership on taxes, veterans’ issues, and on judges.

Graham has been under fire from some conservatives in the Palmetto State, largely over his support for last year’s comprehensive immigration reform legislation, which failed to pass the Senate last year.

He faces Buddy Witherspoon, a long-time South Carolina committeeman to the Republican National Committee, in the Republican primary. Witherspoon has touted opposition to illegal immigration as his campaign's central theme.

The South Carolina primary will be held June 10.
