Lindsay Lohan's therapist says "Speed the Plow" role key to her recovery

Lindsay Lohan's therapist is citing the actress's role in a London production of the play "Speed the Plow" as crucial to her recovery from years of addiction and court troubles.

The therapist wrote in a letter filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court that the play has provided Lohan with a good daily structure and has resulted in a shift in her motivation for recovery.

Filings from a London volunteer organization where Lohan is completing her community service sentence also praised the 28-year-old's progress.

Lohan has been helping plan events and activities for CSV, a group dedicated to helping neglected children and disabled adults.

The letters prompted Judge James R. Dabney on Thursday to end Lohan's probation in a 2011 necklace theft case.
