Lindsay Lohan, the sequel: Probation revoked, jail possible again, this time due to Porsche crash

(CBS) LOS ANGELES - Lindsay Lohan's probation, stemming from a 2011 necklace theft from a Venice, Calif. jewelry store, was revoked Wednesday by a Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner, CBS LA reports.

Another stint in jail is possible for the legally challenged Lohan, over crashing her Porsche into a garbage truck last June.

Her attorney, Shawn Holley, appeared in a Southland courtroom Wednesday morning in connection with new misdemeanor charges filed over the Santa Monica incident.

The 26-year-old actress did not attend the 8:30a.m. hearing on charges that she lied to police, drove recklessly and resisted an officer while on her way to a movie set, CBS LA reports.

Lohan told officers she was not behind the wheel of her Porsche and that her assistant was driving when the accident occurred on Pacific Coast Highway.

The judge ordered Lohan to appear in court on Jan. 15, 2013, for arraignment on charges related to the June accident. A date will also be set for a probation violation hearing.

Lohan faces the possibility of 245 days in jail if a judge determines her conduct involving the accident to be a violation of probation.

Holley declined to comment on the case following the hearing Wednesday.

Lohan's latest trouble with the law came less than two weeks ago when she was arrested and charged with assaulting a woman during an argument at a New York City nightclub. Lohan is due to appear in a Manhattan court on Jan. 11, 2013 to face charges in that incident.
