Lindsay Lohan denies nightclub battery claim
(CBS News) Just weeks after being taken off formal probation, Lindsay Lohan is now facing a new allegation against her.
A woman claims the actress shoved her at a West Hollywood nightclub last week, an allegation that Lohan denies.
According to Reuters, West Hollywood police are investigating a battery report filed by the woman, who claims the 25-year-old pushed and shoved her during an argument over a man at a nightclub at the Standard Hotel on Thursday.
"Lindsay was never at the club and the whole thing is one big lie," Lohan's spokesman Steve Honig told Reuters. "Whomever started this will be held accountable for their malicious and unfounded accusations."
Lohan is hoping to stage a comeback following years of legal troubles stemming from a 2007 drunken driving case. She hosted "Saturday Night Live" last month, is set to guest star on "Glee" later this year and has been cast as Elizabeth Taylor in a TV biopic for Lifetime.
