Libya Denies Keeping Nuclear Factory

Asharq al Awsat:
A Libyan official denied that his country kept a nuclear and chemical factory as a Libyan opposition group had claimed. Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department assured that Libya was committed to its 2003 decision to discard of all of its weapons of mass destruction. Libyan opposition leader Abdul Majid Mansour, who is in exile in Oslo, claimed to have information indicating Libya has a nuclear and chemical factory in the Jabal Harouj area run by experts from North Korea and other countries. Official sources who asked not to be identified told Asharq al Awsat newspaper there was no truth to Mansour's claims, adding that it was part of the opposition group's media campaign.
