Let Your Phone Notify People That You're Going to be Late
On your way to a cross town meeting but traffic is keeping you from getting there on time? You might not be able to let the people waiting for you know -- unless you want to risk one of those driving-while-operating-a-cell-phone violations -- but that's okay. Your cell phone can automatically tell them on your behalf.
OnMyWay [iTunes link] is an iPhone app that can send an alert when you're running late for a meeting. The app uses your phone's GPS to determine how far you are from your destination and sends an e-mail with your estimated ETA.
It's a clever use of geo-positioning data, but it would be far more useful if it were capable of tapping automatically into your calendar. Even so, this app will come in handy to anyone who attends a lot of meetings out of the office. [via jkontherun]
