(CBS/AP) ANAHEIM, Calif. - An unemployed Southern California couple allegedly locked up two malnourished girls in a filthy mobile home while they played a computer game all day.

According to CBS Los Angeles, Lester and Petra Huffmire, both 41, of Anaheim have been charged with two felony counts of child abuse, two misdemeanor counts of false imprisonment and a sentencing enhancement for great bodily injury.

They have pleaded not guilty.

Orange County prosecutors say the couple spent most of their time playing "World of Warcraft" video game while locking the victims inside and keeping them from attending school.

CBS Los Angeles reports the couple kept the two girls from May 2010 until May 2012 inside an uninhabitable mobile home. The kitchen appliances were reportedly covered in mold; there were stacks of trash, debris, and feces throughout the home. The toilets were inoperable, according to the report.

The 10-year-old and 5-year-old were reportedly not allowed to leave the home for any reason. They were found when a neighbor called police for a welfare check.

Authorities said the victims had matted hair, dirt-crusted feet and damaged teeth. Prosecutors did not specify the girls' relationship to the couple but said they were in charge of looking after them.
