Latest PC Music Player... Real Jukebox

RealNetworks has been the long time leader in the technology that lets people around the world listen to far off radio stations or watch TV on the web. Now it wants to turn your PC into the most useful music appliance in your home or office with new software called RealJukebox. It is a free download at real.com. What does it sound like? This is George Clinton and the P-Funk with one of the free songs available online. With the software, you can download, create, edit and store an entire music library on your PC...and it can be shared over a network. The RealJukebox player can handle a variety of formats. Including A2b, developed at AT&T Labs and MP3, the most popular music format on the internet. The software will let you download the digital music to the increasing numbers of handheld players on the market. Some big name artists and groups are anxious to jump on the digital download bandwagon. Recording companies, worried about piracy, are still trying to work out security issues. But one thing is clear, digital distribution over the Internet is here and will change the way we buy and listen to music.
