Lady Gaga to release "Hair" on Monday
(CBS) Little monsters can now enjoy Lady Gaga's new single "Hair," which became available on iTunes on Monday afternoon.
"Hair" is the fourth single to be released from the singer's new album, "Born this Way," which will be released May 23.
Gaga released her third single, "The Edge of Glory," last Monday, according to MTV. Like "The Edge of Glory," "Hair" features sax player Clarence Clemons of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band.
Gaga revealed lyrics from "Hair" on Ryan Seacrest's radio show earlier this year, drawing inspiration from the empowering lyrics of "Born this Way." MTV reports that the lyrics she shared are: "This is my prayer, that I'll die living just as free as my hair."
"It's really up-tempo. It's a club record, but has a Bruce Springsteen vibe," she added. "It's really interesting because it's putting sax on a huge dance record."
For those who thought releasing four singles from a fourteen-song album was too much, Billboard.com reports that fans who buy all the "Born this Way" singles will be eligible for a reduced price for the album on iTunes using the "Complete my Album" feature.
