Kylie Minogue is back in her native Australia getting ready to kick off the Showgirl Homecoming leg of her world tour, postponed last spring after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Wearing a broad smile, jeans and a white-collared shirt over a black top, Minogue wound down the window of a black limousine to wave at well-wishers who had watched her flight land at Sydney airport on Sunday.

Minogue said she was "thrilled to be back" in Australia and excited about resuming the tour.

Minogue, 38, had to postpone the Australia leg of her world tour when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005.

She says she has been dreaming about her comeback show in Sydney on Nov. 11, and about making it up to the fans who held on to their concert tickets.

"I traveled with pretty much all the band, the dancers, so we're on tour again, whoa!" a fit and healthy looking Minogue told reporters at Sydney Airport.

2The Melbourne-born soap star turned singer-songwriter said last week that her breast cancer ordeal made her embrace her musical career even more. She said her boyfriend, French actor Olivier Martinez, had put everything aside to help her during her battle with cancer.

While in Sydney, she also is scheduled to launch her own fragrance, Darling.
