Kristin Jeannette-Meyers

Kristin Jeannette-Meyers has served as CBS News' legal correspondent since April 1997. She has covered many of the biggest and most important legal issues and trials during that time, including the Oklahoma City bombing trials of Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, the Paula Jones/Bill Clinton proceedings, the Louise Woodward murder trial and the O.J. Simpson civil trial. Jeannette-Meyers reports primarily for Public Eye with Bryant Gumbel and the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, but contributes to other CBS News broadcasts as well.

She joined CBS News in 1996 as a co-anchor of the CBS Morning News.

Before that, Jeannette-Meyers was a senior reporter and anchor for CourtTV (1991-96), where she covered every major trial since the launch of the cable channel, including the O.J. Simpson murder trials, state and federal Rodney King trials, the Reginald Denny beating trial, the William Kennedy Smith rape trial, the Lorena Bobbitt maiming case, the Supreme Court confirmation hearing for Clarence Thomas and the parole hearing for convicted assassins Sirhan Sirhan and James Earl Ray. She was co-anchor of "Inside America's Courts" from that daily program's inception in 1995. During her tenure at Court TV, Jeannette-Meyers served as legal analyst for CBS This Morning during the O.J. Simpson criminal trial, the Rodney King federal trial and the Reginald Denny trial.

She was born Sept. 16, 1967 and was raised in White Mountains, New Hampshire. Jeannette-Meyers was graduated from Fordham University in 1987 with a degree in history. She received her J.D. from New York University Law School in 1991 and has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1991.
