Kirk Alyn

Kirk Alyn was the first actor to play Superman on the screen, appearing in the 15-episode 1948 film serial "Superman" and in its 1950 sequel "Atom Man vs. Superman." Alyn also had a cameo appearance in the 1978 feature film, "Superman: The Movie." He passed away in 1999 at age 88.
