Kids chase down purse-snatcher who robbed their mom in Daytona Beach
(CBS/AP) DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Angela Baldwin must be one very proud mother.
The Florida mom must be a little bit worried, too, after her kids, ages 12 and 10, chased after a woman who snatched their mother's purse near the Daytona Beach pier.
Police say they arrested 20-year-old Ashley Turner on Sunday after Angela Baldwin's 12-year-old son, Angel, and 10-year-old daughter, Carina, chased the woman across the beach. The girl followed Turner into the bathroom of a nearby store, where police say the thief tossed the purse and took off.
Authorities caught up with Turner about a block away. She faces grand theft charges and remains in the Volusia County Jail.
The children's mother, Angela Baldwin, told Orlando station WFTV that she's proud of her kids, but told them, "next time you call for help."
