Breedlove, who had been battling hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition that causes a thickening of the heart muscle making it difficult for the heart to pump blood, had been documenting his battle with the disease on YouTube.
In one of the videos he talked about one of his near-death experiences, in which he envisioned himself with his favorite rapper, 27-year-old rapper Kid Cudi. In his vision the two were dressed in suits and he said, "he couldn't stop smiling."
When Kid Cudi saw the video he wrote a letter to Breedlove and his family:
"I broke down, lam to tears because I hate how life is so unfair. This has really touched my hear in a way I cant (sic) describe, this is why I do what I do. Why I write my life, and why I love you all so much...We love you Ben. Forever. Thank you for loving me."
Kid Cudi posted the full letter on his blog.
