Kelly Preston to join John Travolta in Gotti film

(CBS) Kelly Preston is joining off-screen husband John Travolta in the upcoming mobster biopic "Gotti: Three Generations."

Travolta is starring in the film as John Gotti Sr., and Preston will play his wife, Victoria Gotti, Fiore Films confirmed in multiple reports.

Producer Marc Fiore told People magazine of the casting: "The love and passion between John and Kelly ... will bring a huge benefit to John Sr. and his wife, and to tell you the truth, they have a lot in common. They both lost a child at a young age and they understand what the Gottis went thru [sic] when the Gottis lost their child."

The couple's 11-year-old daughter, Ella, rounds out the family affair. She will play their on-screen daughter, Angel Gotti, according to the report.

Last month, Lindsay Lohan was cast in the film as Kim Gotti, the wife of John Gotti Jr.

RadarOnline reports that the film will begin shooting early next year in New York, and will focus on the father-son relationship between John Gotti Sr. and John Gotti Jr.
