(CBS) Cat lover and country music singer Kellie Pickler has designed a sweater for fellow cat lovers to show their feline pride in honor of Cat Appreciation month this February. All the proceeds from the sweater goes to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Pickler worked with Fresh Step litter to design a vintage-style sweater with a cat playing a banjo on the front, pairing the two things she loves - country music and cats.

"It's for all ages," the singer said of the sweater. "If you're a teenager, in your twenties or older...You could rock this at 90 - I would!"

In addition to 100% of the proceeds from the sweater going to the ASPCA, cat lovers can post pictures of themselves on Fresh Step's Facebook page throughout Cat Appreciation month and Fresh Step litter will donate $1 for every fan who posts a picture.

For those who don't have cat clothing, Fresh Step litter created an app that lets people digitally photoshop one of Pickler's one-of-a-kind sweaters to a photo of themselves on Fresh Step's Facebook page.

Pickler has been a cat lover since age 5 - the first pet she ever had was a stray kitten. But when she married husband songwriter Kyle Jacobs last year she's had to give up her pet cat.

"My husband is severely allergic to cats," Pickler said. "We tried to make it work, but he ended up developing asthma."

"It was the cat or my husband, and I guess since we already shared our vows I had to get rid of the cat, but I found a wonderful home in the country [for the cat]."

Pickler's partnership with Fresh Step comes on the heels of her latest album, "100 Proof," which was released today
