Kanye West says new album is 80 percent done

Looks like Yeezy season is approaching: Kanye West confirmed Friday that he's 80 percent done with his new album.

The rapper sat down with Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club to discuss the album and it's sound. He described it to them as "bars, songs, [and] cookout music that just feels good," West said. "My last album was a protest to music. I was like, 'I'm gonna take my ball and go home' ... This album is embracing the music, joy. Being of service to the people. I just hope people like it and enjoy it."

Although West revealed his album is nearly done, he gave no release date. Perhaps taking a cue from Drake's recent mixtape or Beyonce's latest album (which we know he sees as true artistry), the album's release will come as a surprise.

So far, we know it will feature "Only One" with Paul McCartney, "FourFive Seconds" with McCartney and Rihanna and "Wolves" with Sia and Vic Mensa. So far, so good!
