The 33-year-old "Power" rapper announced via Twitter that he and Jay-Z will "drop a 5 song album called 'Watch the Throne.'"

Last week, West announced that he'll be releasing a new song every weekend until Christmas. On Friday (Aug. 27), West released his song "Monster" featuring Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and Bon Iver.

The announcement comes just after the debut of a remix featuring Jay-Z on West's new "Power" single.

Jay-Z and West's collaborative music relationship goes back nearly a decade, to when Kanye produced tracks such as "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)."
