Justin Bieber threatens to make Instagram account private after comments about new girlfriend

This is what happens when fans stop being polite.

Justin Bieber doesn't like how his fans have been treating rumored new girlfriend Sofia Richie. And now he's threatening to take his Instagram away from them if they can't behave.

Over the weekend, the 22-year-old Canadian singer posted a series of black-and-white photos of the pair to his Instagram account. The final photo, though, came with a stern warning.

"I'm gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don't stop the hate this is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn't be so mean to people that I like," he wrote.

Judging by the comments, his fans didn't react very well -- taking issue with both being dismissed as simple "fans" despite their devotion to Bieber as well as with Bieber's new relationship.

"Ohh Justin you honestly don't see how Sofia's a snake but whatever, your problem," one fan commented.

"Can't believe my favorite idol that I love so much since i was in fourth grade changes so much and been blinded with love... I'm so sad rn," another wrote.

"What happened to Beliebers? I thought it was Beliebers and Justin against the world now it's just fans vs. Justin, like I guess us 'fans' should leave you alone then," wrote another.

Most of the negative comments seemed to be coming from fans of Bieber's ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez. Richie, who turns 18 next week, has disabled comments on her Instagram account following a barage of negative comments since first being linked to Bieber.
