Josh Radnor: triple threat who gives thanks
We all know Josh Radnor from his role as Ted, the guy in the perpetual search for the love of his life on the hit CBS sitcom, "How I Met Your Mother." Now, he's making the jump to the big screen as a triple threat -- writer, director and star of the new film "HappyThankYouMorePlease."
No, that's not a misspelling! There was a reason behind Radnor's one-word title
With the success of "How I Met Your Mother," Radnor indeed has a lot to be thankful for - and his feeling of gratitude spilled into his writing of the script.
The theme also came into play when Radnor wrote a speech for one of the characters "that's all about gratitude and how, when you speak to the universe, it listens," he tells "Early Show" co-anchor Chris Wragge.
"And so, to kind of say 'thank you' is not enough. That you should also say something more, like, 'Please. I'll take more of this..."' he adds. "So this notion of 'thank you more please' became a big theme." And the final song in the movie is called "Sing Happy," which was listed as "Happy" on a file on Radnor's computer, so it tied it all in together.
What's Radnor like as a triple threat in action? As a first-time director with a low-budget film, how did Radnor pull this off with such a busy schedule while managing to reel in a good cast?
