John Travolta Calls Baby Son "A New Beginning"

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) There's a new sense of purpose in the home of Kelly Preston and John Travolta these days.

The 56-year-old actor says it's all due to Benjamin, their 7-week-old baby boy, whom Travolta called "a new beginning" for his family.

The actor and his wife, Kelly Preston, posed with their son, Benjamin, for the cover of the new issue of People magazine. Travolta says Benjamin has "brought us a new beginning" and "given the house a renewed spirit and purpose."

Travolta and Preston's oldest child, son Jett, died in 2008 at the age of 16 after falling ill the family home in the Bahamas.

Benjamin was born in November in Florida, where the two actors also have a home. Preston, 48, and Travolta also have a 10-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu.
