Jim Nantz
Jim Nantz has been a regular golf announcer for CBS Sports since 1986, and the anchor for its golf coverage since April 1994. He has hosted the network's coverage of the Masters since 1989 and the PGA Championship since 1990.
His other host duties have included the network's college football studio show, as well as the Cotton Bowl (1985-88), and the Heisman Trophy Award show (1986-88).
He co-hosted NCAA basketball tournament coverage and hosted the NCAA Final Four and championship games from 1986 to 1990.
Nantz graduated in 1981 with a BA in radio/television from the University of Houston, where he played on the golf team. While at Houston, he held a variety of broadcasting jobs which led to sportscaster positions at the city's KHOU-TV and KTRH radio stations.
Nantz was born May 17, 1959, in Charlotte, North Carolina, and grew up in Colts Neck, New Jersey. He and his wife, Lorrie, have one daughter.
