JFK Anniversary Marked by Gathering of Family in Washington
NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Caroline Kennedy and more than 100 members of the Kennedy family are gathering in Washington today to mark the 50th anniversary of her father's swearing-in as president of the U.S..
Kennedy, who was 2 at the time, is gathering members of her father's administration, civil rights activists, astronaut Buzz Aldrin and others to celebrate the 35th president's legacy. She and Jimmy Fallon also plan to talk about a new public service campaign aimed at youth.

Spots for the program , aimed at spreading the Kennedy message to a new generation, feature Fallon and will air on Viacom, Comcast and CBS television channels to promote the new website JFK50.org.
The Kennedy Center will host three weeks of performances recreating moments from the Kennedy White House.
Cellist Yo-Yo Ma performs Thursday night, along with Morgan Freeman, who will give excerpts from the late president's speeches. The American Ballet Theatre and the National Symphony Orchestra also are featured at the program for an audience that will include about 100 Kennedy family members.
There also are events marking the anniversary in Boston, where the Kennedy Presidential Library has new exhibits featuring a handwritten draft of Kennedy's inaugural address and the family Bible on which he was sworn in.
