Jessica Simpson to Talk Engagement on "The Early Show"

NEW YORK (CBS) Jessica Simpson will speak out for the first time about her engagement to former NFL player Eric Johnson on CBS' "The Early Show" Monday.

The newly betrothed reality star and pop singer will also perform two songs from her new album, "Happy Christmas," which will be released on Nov. 23.

Simpson, 30, and Johnson, 31, announced their engagement last Sunday, less than two weeks after Simpson's former husband Nick Lachey announced his own engagementto longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnilo.

After her "Early Show" appearance Monday, Simpson, who recently showed off her Neil Lane ruby and diamond engagement ringat a promotional event, will continue her jaunt in the Big Apple with a performance during  the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
