Jerry Seinfeld on Lady Gaga: "She's a Jerk, I Hate Her"

NEW YORK (CBS) Looks as if Jerry Seinfeld isn't too goo-goo for Gaga.

The comedian, an avid Mets fan, had some choice words for the 24-year-old pop star after she reportedly crashed Seinfeld's VIP box at Citi Field, which apparently sent the jokester over the boiling point.

It's a known story that the half-naked "Paparazzi" singer pledged allegiance to the "draft" last Friday at a Yankees-Met game, not once, but twice in a bikini.

The comedian, who was not in attendance during Gaga's shenanigans but attended a second game later that night, had some choice words for the entertainer Monday on New York's WFAN radio, and, folks, this pop star just sparked another rivalry. Or, at least, a new stand-up bit.

"I wish her the best," he said in an interview with sports broadcaster Steve Somers. "You know, you take one 'a' off of that, you've got 'gag.'"

"I don't know what these young people think or how they promote their careers," he said of the 24-year-old entertainer. "I'm older, I'm 56...I'm not one of these 'all publicity is good' people. People talk about you need exposure--you could die of exposure. I don't understand how this is good for her."

"This is sort of like Madonna: the Next Generation," Somers told Seinfeld, relaying the incident that occurred during the day game at Citi Field, which Seinfeld had missed.

Somers pushed the issue of Gaga making an obscene gesture to photographers and not being kicked out of Citi Field but rather escorted, make that-- "upgraded" - to the comedian's luxury box. That's when Seinfeld had it.

"You know I changed my mind, you're right, this woman's a jerk. I hate her," Seinfeld said bluntly. "I can't believe they put her in my box which I paid for. You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we're living in now?"

"Obviously you were not there," said Somers, looking to cool off a heated Seinfeld. "It was like a holding cell."

"It's pathetic," said Seinfeld.
