Jennifer Lopez opens up on younger men, career fears, and new film

(CBS News) Singer, actress, and "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez is set to star in the upcoming thriller, "Parker," opening in theaters across the U.S. on Jan. 25.

She sat down with Gayle King for a wide-ranging interview that touched on her favorite foods, underwear, and tech toys before the pair delved more deeply in Lopez's fears for her career and romantic life and her hopes for her children on the heels of her heavily publicized divorce from singer Mark Anthony.

The self-professed "hopeless romantic," told King that when it comes to love, "Some people just give up. I can't give up."

And while she is still navigating her divorce, Lopez is happily in a relationship with her former backup dancer, Casper Smart, who is 18 years younger than Lopez.

At first, she admitted that she "didn't feel ok with it for a minute ... I was like, 'What am I doing?'"

"I've always looked at relationship full future ... and now I'm just like 'It's ok to just be in the moment ... who knows where it's going. There's love here. Relax, just relax.'"

For more from Lopez and King on her mother's reaction to her new relationship and how she plans to protect her children from the sting of divorce, watch the interview above.
